How To Add Reviews To Your Website With Schema Code
There are two ways to add the Review Widget to a business website.
1. WordPress Plugin: Add Review Widget to a WordPress Site
2. Embed Code: Add widget to any site Using Embed Code
1. WordPress Plugin Method: Add the Review Widget to a WordPress Website.
To add the Review Widget to a WordPress site follow these steps
- Log in to your ReputationBuilder.us account.
- Before you can add the Review Widget to a website using embed code you must complete the following:
- Create a Review Widget
- Download and install the WordPress plugin.
- If you have multiple locations, select the location you would like to access the Review Widget embed code for from the Business Dashboard.
- From the menu go to Publish > Review Widget and click <–> Get Embed Code to copy the embed code.
4. Login to your WordPress site and go to Settings > Testimonial Widget.
5. Enter a title or name for your widget and paste the embed code into Step 1 – Obtaining a new or additional Embed Code. Click Click to Save Review Code >>.
6. You will have created a shortcode shown under My Testimonial Embed Shortcodes: to use to place the Review Widget on a page of your WordPress website. Using your cursor, select and copy the shortcode.
7. Go to the page of your WordPress site you want to add the Review Widget to and paste the shortcode into a paragraph or other appropriate module.
8. Preview and publish the page. The Review Widget has been successfully added to your web page. (see how it looks on a sample testimonial page)
Once you’ve added the embed code for a Review Widget to your web page, any changes you make to the Review Widget in ReputationBuilder (and publish) are automatically updated on your web page. You do not need to update or replace the embed code.
2. Embed Code Method: Add Review & Testimonial Widget to Any Website Using Embed Code
To add the Review Widget to a business website using the embed code follow these steps:
- Log in to your ReputationBuilder.us account.
- If you have multiple locations, select the location you would like to create or edit the Review Widget for from the Business Dashboard.
- From the menu go to Publish > Review Widget
- Select a layout for the Review Widget and click Preview. Once you have selected your layout, click SAVE and continue to settings. (see a sample layout)
6. Review available settings for your selected layout and adjust as desired. Click Preview to view changes or click SAVE and continue to Step 3: Design.
7. Adjust colors and font styles to match those used within your business website and choose which content areas to turn on/off. Click Preview to view changes. Click SAVE and continue to Step 4: Publish.
8. Click Publish Review Widget to create the widget or update an existing Review Widget on your business website.
9. At the bottom of the screen, click <–>Get Embed Code.
10. Copy the embed code to be placed on your website page.
11. Log in to your website builder and navigate to the page you wish to add the Review Widget to.
12. Paste the embed code into the HTML view of your page or another appropriate module.
13. Preview and publish your page. The Review Widget has been successfully added to your web page.
Once you’ve added the embed code to your web page, changes you make to the Review Widget in ReputationBuilder (and publish) are automatically updated on your web page. You do not need to update or replace the embed code.
